Department of Information Science & Engineering

Welcome to the Department of Information Science & Engineering. The Department was established in the year 2002 and offers undergraduate program (B.E.) in Information Science & Engineering with intake capacity of 60.

Department Vision
The department is committed to continually improve its educational environment in order to develop graduates with the strong academic and technical backgrounds needed to achieve distinction in the discipline.

Department Mission
To produce graduates who have the knowledge and skills to succeed in the technological workplace and to build a strong research and teaching environment that responds swiftly to the challenges of the 21st century.

This requires implementing a curriculum that builds problem-solving, leadership, teamwork and communication skills, that provides a firm grasp of the principals of ethical behavior and professional integrity, and that encourages a determination to engage in life-long learning.

The department produces not just skilled engineers, but also citizens who are responsible towards the society.

We are a team of qualified, experienced & dedicated teaching faculty. Department is supported by equally dedicated supporting qualified laboratory staff.

The department has sufficient number of well equipped laboratories, Classrooms and Library for imparting the course contents and knowledge beyond.

Our department holds credit of producing 100% result for the last three consecutive final year batches (2008-2010). Students of 2008 & 2009 batches passed with FC and 2010 batch with FCD. The University results declared for the last 3 years have been good and have shown a rising trend due to untiring efforts of our faculty. We are happy to announce that three of our final year students got placed in IBM.

The department is taking all the necessary steps to upgrade the knowledge of faculty so that they become more proficient in imparting knowledge to their students. Grounded in our commitment to engineering education innovation and interdisciplinary research, we offer great exposure to students and faculty. Through innovative teaching-learning process a teamwork approach and leadership building experience, our students gain vital communication and critical-thinking skills.

• To establish Industry-Institute Interaction cell to provide guidance and consultancy to IT and Non-IT Industries.
• To achieve 100% qualitative Result & Placement.
• To start PG course & develop the department as a Research Center
