Laboratories
The college has well equipped laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Home Science, English and Geography subjects. Practical is conducted in batches and every student is given opportunities to perform practically independent.
Library
Library is the hub of the institution. Hence, college is having an up-to-date library with reference section, reading room facility to students and faculty members. It contains more than 18.585 books with a facility of encyclopedia, dictionaries, and classical books, world books for reference to readers.
Library is enriched with journals, magazines, and periodicals Books on competitive examinations for students aspiring to appear CET/JEE/AIEEE and Civil services examinations. Book bank facility is also available in the library. It has a qualified librarian with a supporting staff to serve the students community.
Library facilities are being upgraded with automation internet, Career guidance cell. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in all working days.
Sports and Games
A sound mind can only be found in a sound body therefore, unless physical and health education is made an integral part of education in all schools and colleges, a healthy and emotionally stable person can be serviceable to herself as well as to her family, community and nation.
Our college is also giving equal importance to physical and emotional development through sports and games. Indoor as well as outdoor games and sports facilities are available. Indoor and outdoor games facilities are available particularly in Table-Tennis, Basket-Ball, Shuttle-Badminton, Throw-Ball and Volley Ball. Special care is given for such athlete who is physically strong in field events and in sports and games. College has a track record of playing games and athletics at state and national level.
NSS Activities
Our college has been supporting students for developing social, cultural & moral values with a sense of dignity of labor in solving community problems to some extent in the areas of health education and providing skills for self-employment particularly people living in slums. The unit has been seeking support of NGO’s and Philanthropists in making the programme very effective and service oriented. Training in group dynamics and personality development are also organized to NSS volunteers. Health checkup camps are organized with the support of District Civil Hospital and Local Medical Colleges. Campus beautification and cleanliness is being undertaken by NSS unit. It takes lead in organizing national and international days and awareness programs.
Co-Curricular Activities
Co-curricular activities department of the college conducts following programs.
- Legal, health, hygiene and environment awareness program.
- Soft communication skills by organizing situational events and activities.
- Stage and public speech presentation skills.
- Seminars, symposiums, debates and group discussions.
- Field study visits, educational excursions and exhibitions.
Students have been participating in all the above events. As a result they have bagged many prizes at district, divisional, state and national level events organized by the department of P.U. Education, State youth service, sports department. And events organized by NGO’s from time to time.
