SECAB - Socio Economic Cultural Association Bijapur established in 1969 by Shams-uddin Punekar to provide education to the children of Bijapur, was soon accepted as a standard educational Institution by the people of the city.

In 2005 SECAB under its umbrella has 22 educational Institutions, more than 5000 students and 500 teaching faculty. It has two campuses, Naubag campus measuring 11 Acres in the center of the city and Nauraspur campus measuring 16.5 Acres on Bagalkot Road south of the city.

On 19th October 2000 His Excellency Mahmood-bin-Muhammed IPS (Rtd.) Former Ambassador of India for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after a visit to SECAB Institution wrote.
